Tint in MA

So the lady at the store told.me cause my car has a 2% tint on the windows I should stay at 50% for legal purposes. If 35% lets in 38% light and 2% is virtually nothing, why shouldn't I do 35%?

I've got 25% and have never had a problem getting it inspected.
