Question Rear Brakelights- Orange or Red

I've seen most rear brakelights in Canada on the BMWs, having the standard American version which has a red flashing light. Does anyone know if we can order the other standard which comes with the orange flashlight in NA (Canada)?
I think the orange catches more attention if you start flashing...
thx

Canadian vehicles are essentially American-spec with the proper units of measure and DRLs enabled (as opposed to having a choice in iDrive). So, no, you can't order amber turn signals in the rear unless you buy the taillight assembly separately in Europe or off eBay and retrofit them.

That's good news- Canadians should not get watered down stuff like the US considering how much Canadians pay.

Call me colourblind or stupid, I really just often don't react as quickly to red turn signals especially in heavy traffic situations when they're intermixed in a sea of brake lights. I'm glad that my X3 and my mother's 325i sedan comply with ECE regulations in this regard (I bought a used pair for my mom off eBay Germany).

I have really stringent vehicle equipment standards, if y'all haven't figured out.

EXACTLY your point!!!
This was indeed my problem with red turn lights...you don't react immediately and hence, very dangerous,... specially in traffic...
Amber is all worth it...

No sweat!!!
The car is beautiful enough without all the side effects!!!
I was truely amazed with the caliber of this car (hey don't forget that I drove a Chevi Equinox to the dealership before picking up my X3!!! )
