Question Standard vs. Sport Seats

Anyone experienced the difference between the standard vs. sport seats in the new X3s?

I actually chose the regular seat over sport, and I have bad back. Liked all the different controls on the sport but the side bolster curved to much and put pressure on my back that was uncomfortable in spots and that is not adjustable. Highly encourage you to drive cars with both seats. Loved the sport padddles though.

I agree...drive both...

For me, I felt as though the sports seats were a HUGE upgrade and worth every penny... it was like the difference between putting on a fluffy mitten or a form fitting leather glove on your hands. The main thing is that those side bolsters need to be adjusted depending on the size of the person etc and if you don't adjust them you won't like the fit. A few people on the forums who are larger have said the sport seats just don't fit them...I'm pretty thin at 5'11" and 170 lbs. I felt like in the regular seats I was just not as comfortable.

Definitely drive both

thanks for the notes...
Since I also have a back problem, I guess the sport seat will not do too good of a justice...
sure loved to have a "comfort seat" option on the X3 which I would definitely go for.

I don't know Shaw - at first i though the sport seats were more invasive, but then I too pulled a nerve in my back a few weeks ago and started seeing a chiro, and a little physical therapy... working on my posture, etc... And then when I found out the sport seat side bolsters were adjustable I was sold... added the SAP -- hopefully picking up today or tomorrow so we shall see....
