E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Question 1987 325 (2.7L) Clutch

Over the past couple months I have noticed the clutch slipping gradually getting worse until finally burning out and getting no acceleration. However, when I put it in "ANY" gear it goes in with out grinding...seems odd I thought when the clutch burns out that it can't get into a gear. Is there anything else to consider replacing when doing the clutch? I will also replace the flywheel and throw out bearing...Thanks for any replies.

You may not have to replace the flywheel... if your preassure plate has lost it ability to work properly one could could sill shift and go no place... clutch and p plate are changed together.

As mentioned above, the flywheel wont need to be replaced, it should be resurfaced though. And as for the clutch kit, it will come with a new pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw out bearing. Those should be the only components that need to be changed unless you notice something else abnormal.
