Logic 7 or Dirac in X3???

Oh....on the speakers... so you get the extra two speakers (tweeters) in the front doors by the handle right? But you are saying that the other two speakers are below the rear seats??? Really...like where your feet are? I though that there were also tweeters in the rear passenger doors by the handles (tweeters) like in the front seats...and that is where the additional 4 game from..no? Can you confirm? Also...you have speakers behind the rear seats in the pilars right? I'm just wondering if the extra 4 are the 4 tweeters in the 4 doors, or if it's 2 tweeters up front and then 2 more somwhere else... I think the D-Pilar speakers are on all X3s but not sure and it's just Logic 7 adding tweeters.... let me know.

LMAO... it's f***in raining so hard here (bergen county) that I'm soon going to build an arc for my X3 to go into...holy crap..... yea stay safe... and definitely like your setup...I almost got your color..very nice.

Yea on the speakers, I'm wondering if what are under the rear seats (if that's the case) are the subs...I thought the subs were under the front seats though....I'm guessing that you find two more tweeters in the back doors near the handles.

The speakers under the seats are 8 inch mid bass. They are not subs, although BMW likes to pretend they are.

What's the difference? They can't create bass below 80hz. Drums kicks and others are typically below that range.

EV every time you post you just help me validate why I chose to skip premium hifi and go towards aftermarket...

Are those "mid-bass" speakers under the front seats hard to replace (with aftermarket) or are the font seats going to have to come out? Also do you know if those tweeters in the door that get added on to premium can also be added with aftermarket...meaning are the wiring hook ups there but not connected and all we need to do are add tweeters, or is it cutoff?

What about getting premium Hi-fo and the PXE unit?
I'm surprised HK logic7 is worse than the $250 sound processor :o

Yup on the pxe and if you read through the thread I even provided a rough diagram of my layout.

My experience is with installation on a 07 and 08.

If I were to buy the new 11 I would not touch the H/U and integrate everything down stream prior to BMW's amp. That is where the processor comes in. Since the battery is in the rear compartment and they have now gotten smart and opened up the whole area underneath in the back it will be a snap for any installer to do this work. PS always make sure the installer is fully insured (even the best make mistakes) and have them show you their portfolio. If they don't have one then they don't take pride in their work and are not worth the effort.

Evlengr, in Egypt we only get the standard 5-speaker system. I don't want to drill any holes in my bimmer, please recommend an upgrade. For me, clarity-quality is far more important than loudness. The maximum I can do is remove the standard and install new in exactly the same place.
