m50nv to s52
This all started because 2nd gear in my trans on my 92 325is decided to give up on me. So what better an excuse than to buy a trans that comes with a s52.
 Alright i'm going to get an s52 trans driveshaft dme harness and tons of other goodies on saturday and plan on swapping the engine in within the next month or so. I have searched multiple websites and have come to a general conclusion but, i want to clarify everything with the wonderful people of bimmerfest. The s52 is an obdII out of an 97 m3. So i want to do the obdI swap since i have the manifold from my original m50. So in order to do this swap i also have to purchase an obdI harness and a red label 413. Then get a chip from trm. Do i also need knock sensors from a obdI vanos motor or can i source all the other parts from my m50nv(OBD I Crank Sensor ,Cam Sensor, Fuel Rail). Is there other components i am missing? If my engine/car was a vanos motor basically this swap would be easier on my part but, i don't really care i just want to understand everything fully before i have dead car on a lift and have to push it in and out every weekend. So any info would be great i have searched this topic as i said with no luck. Thanks Phil

pretty sure the ecu out of a 95 M3 will run the S52.. but yeh you will need to chip it
