Actually he raises a very good question that was asked previously by dakej10 on 2-15-11but never really answered. I have searched and cannot seem to find the exact same thing. I had my fuse diagram card last fall when doing some troubleshooting of my fuses but it is now gone (probably fallen behind the glovebox). I'd love to have the info on a single sheet or card but now use my Bentley. It is a PITA to pull my Vol II when I used to just pull the fuse card from above the glovebox.

I did find this: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=41315 but is for a 98 540 and it doesn't seem to apply to my 02 530 although it is consistent with what Bentley says. My fuse #7 is linked to my cigarette lighter (it's a 30A that keeps blowing when I insert my lighter) and not the aux fan. But even the Bentley says #7 is a 20A for Engine Cooling Fan Normal Speed Relay (K21). I don't understand why a 30A was in there previously nor why it continually blows when I insert my lighter.

Hi Fudman, I'm not sure what a "fuse diagram" is ... but is it in one of these /fuse(F3) threads in the bestlinks?
- Where to find E39 fuse boxes (1) (2) (WDS) (WDS.ru) & how to find the front passenger seat undercarpet fuse panel (1)

Not sure exactly what the OP was referring to but what I was referring to is the hard cardboard fuse list that is tucked away above the fuse box in the glove compartment. Turn the two white screws and the fuse box tilts down. There's a little tab on the card that you pull on and the card comes out of it's slot above the fuse box. It simply lists the fuse number, fuse size, and what the fuse controls (some fuse slots are blank). I had the card a few months back but when I recently looked, it was gone. I have the info in my Bentley but having the card is much more convenient as it is one page vice 3 pages in Bentley.

Thanx for the links. I found the one for the 540 (link 2) but one of my fuse locations is not consistent with that list. Even my Bentley says it is for the aux cooling fan. But I found a 30A in slot 7 (the link and Bentley say 20A) and it blows every time I push my cigarette lighter in. Someone else with an 02 530 pointed out fuse 7 as the cigarette lighter fuse and that is consistent with my fuse behavior. But reality doesn't match the Bentley. Very strange...

Great links!

In looking at glove and trunk, there are three fuses for the fuel pump? Trunk says 54 and glove 17 and 31. is that right?
