Registration and other stuff

I will finally be attending my first bimmerfest after owning them for a few years. Unfortunately, I won't have the time to drive my E60 M5 back and forth from Texas and my wife hates the SMG trans, so she refuses to drive the car. I will be flying into LAX and staying in the area. My two questions are - I will obviously be in a rental - do I register the rental beforehand? The second question is - will it be an obvious advantage to get there real early to check out the booths and the cars on display??

Thanks. Kind of new member here (mainly M5board, sorry).

I like getting in early, hell I up at 4:14 every morning... If you are driving a car other than BMW you will park in a different location, no big deal and still close to everything. the Booths are open at 9 and if you like handouts it's the best time. Always pre-register so they can get a count and if you don't want to wait in a line get there before the line forms or after everyone shows up. I was there 40 or 45 minutes early last year and I got in in 15 minutes plus I ended up grabbing some free tee shirts and stuff. I also like to document the show with my camera so I'll see the entire show. Regardless, have a blast! it's going to be a great day!
