AW X335i M Sport has arrived!

What a great way to come home from vacation. Got home late Sunday night and first thing Monday morning went to the dealer to pick up my X3 which had arrived there on Saturday. Now that's timing!

Here are a few shots of her...

Looks very nice. The metal dead pedal is part of the line up?

Looks great! Thanks for the picture of the M foot rest, which is a different style from what BMW has installed in the 3 series IS. I wondering if the brake and gas peddle covers that come with the is will look good in the X3M? My specs are on my order below, as I'm not staying with the stock pedals.

Yep. Footrest, door sills, and chrome loading plates in the rear cargo area - all M Sport exclusive.

Yes, Carbon black metallic is exclusive to the ZMP package. I have that color on order. Interesting that BMW NA website has no mention of carbon black. Was able to see a swatch of this color at the Welt during my ED for my E93is, and it is stunning.

I just upset that the ZMP doesn't add the top speed limiter and comes with all season tires. I'm personally adding the 20 inch accessory M rims with non-run flats ordered from tire rack. No reason for all-season living in the Southeast.

Next question is to Procede the N55?

Yep, it's a Priority One option (not published on configurator). Just tell your CA you want that color.

Top speed limiter is increased from 130 MPH to 150 MPH for the M Sport. If you need to faster than than in an SUV you're a better man than I am!!

Top speed limiter (840) is only available with ZAP when mixed performance tires are also ordered. I tried to add 840 to my order and request mixed performance tires to the 19 inch M rims with the ZMP, but my requested was turned down by the BMW NA brand advocate. There is no 840 added to the ZMP in the US market currently, but Germany and Canada get 840 and mixed performance with the ZMP.

From BMW NA "Your request for top speed limiter (840) or mixed performance tires was reviewed by our Brand Advocate. I'm sure you're aware since you have the M Sport Package, you cannot order the Sport Activity Package and unfortunately, neither of these options is offered as a stand alone."

I contacted a senior customer service rep at BMWNA who was involved with my ED/PCD 2011 335is via a e-mail. If you order the mixed performance tires (2B7) then you should get summer performance tires and 840 is added also with the ZAP.

No problem, as I was shocked when ZMP didn't add 840. It should be added in 3 years when its time to replace my current X3 which is on order. The beauty of leasing.

Congrats! I love this thing.

Willing to drive to MD so I can take it for a run?

I want to order the x3 35 M package but can't find it anywhere to take it for a spin. I know it's not THAT different from the sport package but when you're about to drop that much change I'd like to at least have sat in it once and open her up for a feel.

In the end, I'll probably settle for a sport package test drive and just order the M hoping for the better.

I don't think the test drive would be that much different. Most of the M Package is asthetics anyway.

FWIW, I only was able to drive a plain 28i before I ordered mine. The pep was respectable, but I knew I wanted the 35i anyway. Very happy with it!!

Just test drive a 35i with the DHP. The sport package will give you a feel of the sport seats, which are the same as the current 3 series coupe/convertible. The German market gets to order the pearl cloth/leather with the M sport package, but only leather is available for the US market.

I personally have used the DHP in a loaner 5GT when I had a service car before. I took a quick test drive of the X3 35i and I liked the power/torque.

PS I personally go with my feel from my previous BMW's and just order my new BMW as I trust the brand.

LEDZEP, what size tires did they put on for the M-Sport. From the owner's manual, it looks like there are 3 possibilities:

245/45R19 front and rear (V speed rated, all season)

245/40R19 front, 275/40R19 rear (W speed rated, summer)

245/40R19 front, 275/40R19 rear (V speed rated, all season)

Unfortunately, tires are 245/45R19 front and rear (V speed rated, all season) for the US market is (option is 2A8); however, Canada and Germany get 2NE which are mixed performance tires. The other tires listed are for the Sport Activity Package (ZAP) available options of 2A1 (light alloy-wheels-style 309) and 2B7 (light alloy-wheels-style 309).

That seems silly. Why do they not even offer a mixed performance tire option for the M-sport, but do for the sport package.
