"out to the guy" (don't know what that means - perhaps a generational thing ?) but would like to relate a story :

a number of years ago I owned a '91 BMW 850I (in my opinion the most beautiful design that BMW ever built..)

I was very busy in my career and didn't really have the time to personally do it justice - detail-wise - so I would take it to a Car Wash most of the time (a Detailer when it needed that).

On one trip, I was standing at the Observation Window within the Car Wash building, watching the car go thru the process, when a fellow within earshot of me said to his buddy something like "Jeez, you'd think that someone who spends 90k on a car would wash it himself.."

That prompted me to approach the "mouth", pull $20 from my wallet and asked the guy if he'd like to wash it for me (for the $20) because I didn't have the time

Is there a moral here..? Don't know but didn't mean for there to be one

anyway... Guy had a brand new m5... and it was filthy.. But he did make it a point to catch back up to check me out
