$150 Dealer Scan

Took my car (02 745Li) to the dealer to have it scanned to find out what was wrong with my radio volume. $150 at BMW of Fairfax, VA
The volume on the radio is very low as I have noted in several post since I've joined this board. The CD volume is great. So they tell me I need a new radio amp - amp price was $262 and the labor was $600. I was told that 1 hour of the labor was to reprogram the amp.
How difficult is it to replace this amp? Where would i get installation instructions?

The Amp is just plug & play no programming needed also check your settings and fading if your sound is good playing cd's you don't need a new amp,if you needed a new amp you would have different issues like no sub crackling sound tweaters are speakers cutting of and so on,good luck

my CD player sound is real loud
