removing resonator only??

Same setup as mines sounds so beastly on WOT and mute on cruise.. We went to the shop like 4 cars deep so they were still cutting pipes in the background try and ignore the grinding sound it was the best i could get. Ill try to get mine when i get home later

Wow, that is surprisingly loud for just removing the front two resonators. That sounds perfect to me. Can you have someone video you doing a launch from standstill? I'd love to hear your car under load.

How did you get into the car with it up on the hoist to take the video?

yea thats before they put the straight pipe where the front resonators use to be thats my car ton the lift believe it or not there was actually steps on the side of the lift where the mechanic was able to climb n hoist himself up lol

This is my car with the mod i think it sounds good but like i said most likely will get mufflers to add alittle more sound

Last couple of days the weather, here in Dallas, has finally allowed us to take the top down.. Goddamn it's sounds good! Way better than it did before, before I had my resonators delete.

Petros2r - you're right about the weather in Dallas finally being suited for top-down! Got my 08 650ci a few months back and can finally put the roof down!
Let me know where you got your resonator delete work done - I'm thinking about doing the same

Are you thinking of going any louder?

No, not louder at all. I don't want it to sound like a rice-burner (no offence to Asians). I like it the way it is now. I can make it pretty loud if I put it in the sport mode and shift manually as well. For example: depress "Sport", shift to "DS", then to the first gear and let the computer shift up. Result: deep growl up 'till 20-30 MPH, blip. more growl, etc.
For all of you that are requesting "before and after videos" - just do the "resonators delete" and I promise you won't regret it. After all it would only cost you $150 (with the x-pipe) to install and maybe $50 to go back to "stock". Videos can't really transfer that special sound that comes out of your pipes. Especially from inside of the car, with the top down. It shouldn't matter what the bystanders hear/think.
@ MisterM007: I got 'em done at this muffler shop on Harry Hines BLVD and Webb Chapel Extension (be sure it's an "Extension" not just Webb Chapel). You have to drive up there and ask them to order you an x-pipe, few days later go do it (takes 30mins.) I think I've paid $130 cash. I can't find their phone number, but if I will, I'll PM you. Good luck!

Greg A, That does sound very nice - thanks for posting the video. Just to confirm, you took off the two front cans/resonators and went straight pipes all the way back to the stock mufflers (no x-pipe up front)? thanks.

nope no xpipe up front just the 2 twin resonators deleted..

ok -thanks - that means you left the stock "resonator" box that connects both pipes together (which another posting referred to as a factory x-pipe of sorts)? If so, then I'm probably going to go that route...

yea muffler guy said its an xpipe changing it is pointless.. im no expert but i thought it sounded good enough for the time being

wawoo today i start reading #1~#240 everything took me all to read doing my working hrs. i couldn't diside my self for couple of nice mod with different sound so i start reading all post 1 by 1
now i come down to 2 mod (sounds i like)
i really like to sound of WHITE DROP TOP MOD(F1 sound) and BK650 sound
White Drop Top mod i like but magnaflow mufflers gonna cost me around $900 +$200 for x-pipe
vs
BK650 mod sounds also nice with around $200

if i can get magnaflow mufflers at low cost i will got with White drop top mod for sure my self (i love F1 sound) alot ^^

Stevelee, it appears that wtd is away. It is a wrong muffler. It should be offset to offset, 11235 for ss mufflers (14335 for polished), 35159 for tips if you want.

and you have that sound?

Yea Just remove the twin Res and straight pipe.. Shouldnt even cost $100

i ask my local shop and only cost me $40
should try 1st with out x pip and buy magnaflow muffler ?
