thinking about buying a 6 series.

There is a guy selling a 635csi down the road from my best friend. I own an e30 and love it but want another bmw because of how much I love it. The engine looks fine I haven't heard it run and I've seen it sitting for a while but he's never home when I have time to look at it. The interior isn't the best but it's not horrible and it needs a bit of body work mostly just dents in the doors. The asking price is 3600 and he seams pretty firm on it. What do you guys think?

Mileage and condition determine the price. If you need to spend $3000 to make it a nice car, I would keep looking. Evaluate it very carefully. There's not alot of real nice E24's but they do come up from time to time. I even see guys from Florida listing them on Craigslist here in Chicago. Getting a rust free car is a high priority.

Car has dents and probably rust in the regular places, the interior needs work and the car has been sitting outside for a while. IMHO, it probably is not worth $3600. Maybe $1600. For $4000, you should be able to find a very nice and clean automatic model. Keep looking around if you are serious about a E24. It is a great time to find a nice one. Good Luck.

You know what they say about looking for a E24.it is the same as buying one.
