Its a credit from BMW FS on the 535, valid with may rates only. That's as much as I know.

According to my advisor, you have to get the nav a la carte rather than as part of a package. It is because of the parts shortage stemming from the Japan earthquake. Apparently, there is a shortage of the non-navigation alternatives so nave is the only option.

My CA was quoting me lease rates/monthly payments on an European Delivery 535i without navi and then the new rates came out May 1st and the payment jumped $30 for the exact same car. He told me the navi was "free" now. So its not really "free" for people that never wanted it in the first place. It is something forced on you since the rates are higher either way

What are the may rates for 535xi?

so I won't get the $1700 credits if I order one with Premium II (with Navigation) for ED in Sept? Am I correct? What if I delete Premium II and just add Navigation as stand alone?

If memory serves the residuals are the same but the money factor went up to .002.

That is my understanding. The credit is only for a la carte, non-packaged selection of navigation.

but can I get the credit if buying/ordering instead of leasing if I do a la carte?

Would check with my sales advisor but I think so. Whether or not you lease, you are stuck with NAV because of earthquake related shortages for non-nav.

Well my dealer got back to me on the new numbers for the 535XI M-Sport I ordered last week with stand alone navigation. The money factor went up, thought he said .003, but my payment went down by $28.00 per month on a 36/15K lease. That was at $700.00 over invoice. That savings will just about cover the tire and wheel insurance.

That's great news - hopefully that means my CA will let me do the same deal.

So if you've got a quote from your CA, say $1000 above invoice. You can use this credit on top of the quote -> becomes $700 under invoice, right?
since the discount comes from BMWFS, not the dealer. Am I right? |

They are telling me that it depends on when you take delivery. I just ordered a 528i but it likely will not arrive until June. The dealer said it's possible that the promo will continue into June.

After re-reading the program on the navi credit it says once I have a credit approval and since program ends June 30th then we are good. Credit approvals are good for 90 days after program ends which is Sept 28th. |

That is what My CA is saying. I have a car being picked up for ED in September and I am still getting the Nav credit

My dealer told me credit approvals from BMWF were only good for 60 days. That makes more sense, since they don't know where interest rates will be going or if there was a change in the financial condition of the buyer. In any case it should be a non-issue for me, since I expect my car to come in within eights weeks of the time I ordered or by the end of June. It's been two weeks and the car is finished waiting for transport.

I'm not using BMWF to finance my car. Does that matter?

Yup, since I believe the credit comes from BMW FS.
