which floor mat

Hi,

I have a 535i on order. I'd like to get rubber floor mats. I hope the floor mat has edges which can hold dirt/water.

Any brand do you guys suggest? I am concern about the fitment and the ability to hold dirt.

Should I go with the BMW ones or aftermarket like http://www.weathertech.com/ ?

What do you guys use?

Thanks in advance

I waited for months for Weather-Tech to send me an e-mail telling me the F10 mats were available. Finally, I gave up and purchased them at the dealer. I have heard that the
dealer mats are made by Weather-Tech--not sure if this is true. Anyway, I am very happy
with them--they fit well, look nice and hold the dirt.

Thanks for the input.

Which one is yours? Do you have a picture of it?

Screw weather tech. Last mats I got from them don't fit well.

Get the BMW mats...they fit great and have a great well for dirt and snow. I got them in January and it worked very well. They're branded BMW and have the factory velcro attachments.

I believe they are made by Weather Tech, ironically...

I got BMW all weather mats but do they only come for the front? I got it free as part of my deal but when I opened the packet it only has front mats. Is that how they come or did my dealer forgot to give me the mats for the back seats

Ok then, I will get the BMW mats.

Are there different versions or only one? I want to make sure I'll get the good ones that you guys use.

Got any pictures?

The dealership I used threw in the all weather floor mats by BMW. They're great. Have had them in the car for about 2 weeks now and it's terrific. They come with these velcro stickers both on the mat and cars so it works hand in hand

They are two separate items. I have both front and back mats.

Mein Auto: 2011 535 IX - March build
I got mine from weathertech in April. Very nice! When I first checked in march when car was on order, they did not have either the rear ones or front ones...can't remember. The CSR I spoke to said there was a manufacturing defect issue so they had to redo the mats and that's why they did not have it.

I thought with the new 5er, the rubber mats come standard. Am I wrong? I got the carpet and the rubber mats with a rubber trunk liner when I picked up my car (July 2010). Maybe I got lucky.

The picture posted by TJ does not depict the actual mat being sold by BMW for the F10. Rather, it is a generic picture for advertisement purposes. The actual mats being sold do not fit as well as the one depicted in the picture. Somewhere in the F10 Forum, there is a thread on this issue that contains pictures.

I have the BMW all weather mats and I am happy with them, but the fact remains that they do not fit into the F10 as well as that depicted in the advertisement. I am posting two pictures of the driver's side front mat.

CRMESQ, thanks for the real pictures. You're right it does not fit as well as the previous pic.

Is this the only one that BMW offers for F10? From the picture, it does not seem to have enough edges to hold water/dirt?

Thanks for the pics. You're right it's not completely flush with the drivers footwell, but looks pretty close. What about the passenger side?

You are welcome. The passenger side front mat and the two rear mats fit very well. As a matter of clarification, it is the driver's side front mat that does not fit that well. There is a gap between the area where you place your left foot and the mat where dirt gets on the rug. Similarly, there are gaps around the throttle area where dirt gets on the rug as well. As a matter of fairness, only a small amount of dirt gets on the rug and I have not found it that hard to clean. From what I have been told by BMW, they only sell one type of all weather mats for the F10. Overall, I am happy with the BMW all weather mats, I use them year round, and I would recommend them.

Hmm... I don't know why they don't fit yours flush for the driver's side but for mine it's pretty tight. It only moves up but very little if anything when I step in the car and push the mat up. I have to rarely move it down to adjust it. Maybe you have to fix the velcro underneath the mat?

I really like my custom Cocomats. Very heavy duty and a great selection on colors to compliment our interiors.
