Hi All:
I have a question re Track My BMW. What extent of the selected options is it supposed to list? Mine just list Premium (and it's contents), color swatches, and missing selected Prem 2, Top/Side camera, etc. I am quite sure my CA ordered the right thing because I have a copy of the order sheet.

Just curious as it would be not funny to find out the car has options 'missing'.....

Track is not always accurate or up to date. My ED in July had the wrong color for several weeks and was updated recently to the correct color. The tracking is, at best, a guide.
Check with your CA to confirm the build.

Track My BMW is oftentimes unreliable. To ensure you have the correct build you should go through your CA and confirm the final build sheet.

Make sure the correct "stuff" is on your Purchase Order. You can also call BMW NA and get a live person to confirm all your "stuff."

Slightly different question about "My BMW".

A few days after we completed the final paperwork at the dealer and signed the contract, and just prior to leaving for our ED, I clicked on the button to activate my BMW Financial Services account. After I did this, I lost all tracking.

Does BMW assume that since you've paid for your car and have activated your BMW FS account that the car is already in your garage and doesn't need to be tracked anymore?

I'd like to see that my new BMW is "En Route", "At the Preparation Center", and "At My BMW Center". Is there any way to get this back? Maybe I should have waited.

My tracking disappeared at some point while I was in Europe, I did not activate the finance connection until after I got back. The tracking website was worse than useless... all it did was confuse and concern me without need.

just checked my status and realized that PP2, top and side view cameras as well as smartphone integration are all missing on a web site
They are DEFINITELY on my PO and i just emailed my CA

My car was just built and the tracking was never correct. BMW might actually be better off removing the options listings if they are going to be incorrect more than they are correct. I know my car is built and there is nothing I can do now and I verified my options with my CA a couple of times but I still have this lingering worry that I will get to the Welt and find that my car is missing the options not listed on the tracking site. It's just nerves but it is still very distracting.

FYI, my car is on the Fidelio and the voice response tracking says "In Transit".

Tracking the car status via phone, BMW North America:
(This information can, as well, be more than 48 hours behind the actual status)
• Call: (1-800) 831-1117
• Say "Vehicle Production Status" when prompted... or at any time after the recording starts
• then,you will be asked for your production number, or last seven digits of your vin number...
• then say - the last seven digits of your VIN. In my case: E06XXXX, (Read as, for example: E, Zero,6,ex,ex,ex,ex.)
Carefully enunciate the Es, Ts and Bs - the system is voice recognition based, and sometimes gets confused with Es
and Ts and Bs.
• then say "yes" when the voice reads it back - if correct... if not correct say "no," and repeat... (you can get it wrong 3 times,
and then the system kicks you to a live human, if you're calling during business hours... if not, BMW will give you their
operating hours for the office. Hang up, and try again if they're closed.)
• then say "partial VIN number," if not a production number... when asked...
• then, the system will give you the status of you vehicle production within the last 24 hours.

Mine now says "In Transit" too.

I have registered with mybmw. I put in my production number and it shows a picture of my car and gives the status as "On Order". However it doesn't list any of the details that previous poster have mentioned (options etc.). Is there a special way to see those? Do those appear closer to production (I have July 26 ED date)?

Yes, when your status goes to "Start of Production" your options will (probably) show up, but this won't necessarily be correct or complete.

Our car went into production on 19 April 2011 @ 7:21:36 (confirmed by our CA) and our car showed "Start of Production" on My BMW the next day. Our delivery date was 12 May 2011.

Fixed to represent California joint ownership.

Unless of course, she divorces me because I take delivery of our new BMW while she's out of town, and then she'll probably get it in the settlement.
