Hey everyone, idiot requiring assistance

Recently bought the above car and in my haste to buy it for a bargain price disregarded the fact that there were a couple of warning lights on, nothing with a picture on it that I would understand though, just a couple of orange lights and one red one under the orange oil service light - which is also on. They guy I bought it from insisted it was nothing to worry about, that all I needed to do was get a 'special tool' to turn said lights off. No owners manual as yet, no history and, quite frankly, no clue and the lights are on even when the engine is off, hence the battery has run down after a couple of days of non use.

Does anyone have any ideas about the mystical special tool? I can get a pic of lights up in the next day or so if that'll help anyone help me

The tool is a service light reset tool or maybe a Peake reset scan tool might work. We don't have that model over here so one of your mates on that side of the pond might know better. Post a pic of the lights and get yourself an owner's or repair manual. They will help you determine what the lights actually indicate.
