OEM Sirius Install, need help!
I have a 2001 330ci that I have replaced the head unit with a OEM unit from a 2004. First I installed the aux input and then my OEM CD changer to the head, which all worked great.
This past week I added the OEM Sirius unit. But ever since I added the Sirius, which works great, the CD changer (not the indash CD) has a very "tinnish" sound, like something is not grounded or connected properly. I have removed it and re-installed it several times, and tried 3 new connector cables (the cable that runs from the Sirius tuner to the CD changer) in hopes that I just had a bad cable.
Sidenote: to install the Sirius you use the factory cables that you would normally plug into the CD changers. IF I unplug the Sirius, and plug those cables directly into the CD player as I had it before the Sirius install, the CD changer works great. But if I hook up as per the instructions, run the factory cable to the Sirius and then the jumper between the Sirius and the CD changer, it sounds terrible.
I would appricate any help or suggestions that anyone here might have.
Thanks in advance.
