6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

torn my front bumper!!
Caught it again on a curb and tore it. Any suggestions on fixing it other than buying a new one? Pretty clean tear but hanging under the front. looks sad. If anyone has a 645 Mineral Silver bumper they don't use any more maybe we could figure out a price but I was really not looking forward to trying to take all the wiring etc out. Not exactly a mechanic. Thanks guys

How far under is it? I had the same thing happen, it caught several times until I had a 4" wide piece hanging down. It was from the back of the underside of the bumper so I just cut the piece out with a hacksaw. You can't see the cutout unless the car is jacked up or you stick your head under the car.

it's pretty visible. Right in the middle bottom but it is about 8 inches from the back to the front and some is hanging down. I was thinking of fibreglassing the backside and doing a quick job but it kills me to think that my car is getting old and beat up. It's a pretty clean tear meaning the two pieces fit back into eachother.

Ouch, mine was only a couple of incehs from the back to the front so much easier. That is a pretty good rip. Fiberglass it yourself, not that hard to do. Just take the front bumper off, it is not that hard from what I have heard...

fiberglass + super glue!
Mine was Mineral Silver, and I'm sure it's sitting in a junk yard somewhere, ready to be picked... Makes me sad just thinking about it!

You could also look into plastic welding. Since the crack is on the bottom you could weld from behind only using metal gauze and a plastic welding rod.

Plastic welding sounds good. Not a DIY project I am assuming. Maybe a local shop. That may have saved me some time, hassle and dinero. Thanks
