Looks good.... I've been waiting to paint mine for a while now.... I'm going to knock it out this weekend... did you hang your the painted pieces to dry? Or did u just lay them out to dry?

It's best to hang them to paint u can use simple rope and tie it to the back of each piece I let it dry hanging for about 10 mins each so the paint cures a lil bit and dust doesn't get on fresh paint and then moved them outside for complete drying. While it was drying hanging I was preparing another piece. U save a lil bit of time that way.

Well u got lucky I guess I just didn't want to pay 1000+$ for plastic that is going to be as bad in whatever period of time. I have a warranty on my car but it doesn't cover something like that

So I got mine done with the help of my wife. It came out pretty good but I went a little step further and painted the two fron kick panels. I kinda scracthed them trying to get them back in. I used Krylon Fusion and the paint is not bad. I think it will eventually scratch off though when someone kicks it. I will get some pics up. I went from the beige to painting them brown. The kinda match the woodgrain.

peeling foot boards

I was happy to find this post but I can open the photos.....maybe it's because it's an old post but it looked like great info. Anyone else have recommendations? and.... actually, I don't know how to take the foot boards off.... do they just pop off?
thanks everyone
