Bumper Gap/Headlight Alignment 2011 30i

Can anyone post some close up high res pictures of 3 things (preferably on a non black car so can see the gaps).

1) The gaps between the front fender and the front air dam (side)
2) The gap between the hood front and where it meets the front air dam.
3) The tops of the deadlights where they line up with the hood.

Reason being, my front bumper cover and driver side headlight had to be replaced due to a fender bender and there have been many issues lining it up to spec due to the body shop (a BMW body shop BTW) having only repaired one front end damaged Z4 since 2009 (!?).

I think the gaps are too much at the sides and the hood, and the headlight that was replaced seems too far recessed. The headlight that wasn't replaced seems that you can run your finger along the top of the light and it will fit into the gap slightly, on the replaced one, it is further in it appears..

I just PMed some pics of the angles you requested. My Z4 is the same color as yours Let me know if you need more.

Thakk you SO much for the quick reply and the effort. Was actually needing them to show to the body shop tomorrow. Looks like all not so off at all, just my driver's side headlight needs to be repositioned (top edge nearly flush with the hood), but I can see how it is off already now that I look at the mounting screw, because the screw looks off center, so should be an easy fix. :-)

I thought it was a problem the way it "pinches towards the rear of the side gaps, but looks to be the way it is,,

BTW, bet you're happy you went with Mojave. Few brave enough to go with a color that more often than not, they were unable to view in person prior to buying, but all VERY happy (me included)..

Only other color I might have considered, would have been Marrakesh brown metallic had it been available on the Z4, but that's only on the 1. 2nd nicest color BMW makes for any car IMO. :-)

No problem. You posted lots of pics for us to view and also sent me some interior pics for me. I love the Mojave metallic, I get lots of compliments and if I were to reorder this would be my color choice again. It was tough to make up my mind without seeing the color in person. This color looks so different in different lighting conditions. Let me know if you need more pics or videos.
