M Sport Package Worth it?

So I'm fairly new to BMW, I've been driving Cadillac for the past 4 years, my current is an 07 Escalade.

I've been looking at the X3 for a few weeks and was sold after I drove it. I would be custom ordering one, but my biggest problem is deciding between the Sport Activity Package or M-Sport Package.

I've decided on:
Premium
Convenience
Technology
Heads Up Display
Heated Seats/Steering Wheel
BMW Apps

I know "to each his/her own" but I was just looking for opinions on how the M vs Sport looks in person. Is the M worth the few extra Ks? Colors are between Black/Oyster and Arctic White/Tan. Thanks everyone!!

M-sport is more about outside cosmetic changes to the car. If you like that look better than the standard, it is worth paying the money.

I have the MSport and love the looks, also the steering wheel, anthracite headliner and the wheels. Really your call.

No 12, Your car looks great! I really like the red. I think I am going to go with the M Sport package, just have to decide on the color. Thanks for the input!

Remember though, the M-Sport in the US requires a 225 sports suspension delete. The SAP, to my knowledge, does not include this, and thus you will still get sports suspension. Obviously if you get DHP, then all of this is moot. I have the M-Sport (No DHP) and the suspension is a little soft. However, it is more than adequate for all types of driving, including spirited ones. It just comes down to how you feel about it.

I sincerely hope that BMW allows us M-Sport (Non-DHP) customers a choice to upgrade our suspensions to sport suspension in the near future. It seems almost unfair that the rest of the world gets a choice between sport/standard and we don't.

I am really thankful that you told me that, my dealer did not mention it. Looks like I may end up with DHP now. Thats really unfortunate that BMWNA doesn't offer a suspension upgrade for M-Sport Package. Thanks again!
