Try disconnecting your battery (located in the trunk) for ten minutes and reinstall. If that didn't work, then your alternator need to be replaced. I hope this help!

The Trans Fail Safe Problem with the X5 4.4i was resolved by replacing the ABS Module, and by replacing the ABS speed sensor

Electrical Gremlin

Hi every one, I have a 05 Diesel x5, been a great car till now,
Problems started with seat belt chime coming on with no one in the seat, then all steering wheel controlls stop working, radio stoped working, interior lights staying on, transmision failsafe warning, DSC warning, brake lights stay on, no reverse lights.I have tested many relays, fuses, changed out GM111 to test, removed all dash, glove box, and many othe covers to look for possible wiring problems. I have read in forums that the battery can give problems like this, this problem however is INTERMITANT
Any ideas?
