So here are the pics:

Yeah, that's my dad

Already tried the new badge. It fits perfectly, can't wait to put it on

Also, I repaired the manifold screws, so it fits good enough not to let anything past the seal.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to finish sanding till now, so the car will be sprayed tomorrow, hopefully. So you should get the final pics on Sunday

P.S. At last I got my real fisheye lens for my camera

Thank's man! Yes, E36's are pretty common in Latvia, but good ones are very rare

The progress:

Some other minor details

I love the look of fresh paint

Well, guys, the thing you all have been waiting for, is done. I love it. The color is just amazing, now I sometimes try to imagine how the car looked when it rolled out of the factory.

Tomorrow it will be polished, so I hope that tomorrow evening the car is rolling out of the repairshop and into my garage for putting together. After that I'm heading straight to the electronics shop to pick up my new Car radio.

So here are the pics - first the ones when masking the car for spraying:

Getting most of the dust off...

Masking done. Leaving the car for painting...

And here are the results:

Yummy... Fresh MontrealBlau

Comparing new/old color - the tone is pretty good, I think it will line up perfectly when polished

That's all for now, will be more pics when everything will be put together

Looking forward to pics of whole car

Thanks man,
I already wrote it somewhere before - I know it is dumb not to respray the whole car at once, but I have no time and money for that now I hope I'll be able to respray it the next year.

So guys, after a few days of putting it all together, taking pics, waxing, washing, taking pictures and doing random stuff, its done. Well not done like project, but this part is done.
So here are the pics:

The trunk lid already attached. The trunk itself is till empty.

The bumper getting ready for attaching...

After attaching the bumper we decided to spray the side skirts with the "black toad" (that's how it's called here, and I have no idea how you call it ). Here you can see my dad taking the masking papers off.

Nicely rough and black. I decided not to paint the skirts, because I'm getting the original plastic ones anyway. Got the car out of the repair shop at 2am. Drove around a little and put it in the garage for washing.

Random pic after washing (the next day already)

Looks pretty neat IMO

Wax on, wax off...

The brand new badge attached

And, Voila! Here it is, clean and waxed, the color has a difference only on the driver's side rear door. I'll think something out to get rid of that.

After doing a lot of random driving around and admiring the car, I decided to take some pics of the car, looking a lot better as it had looked anytime before (while it has been with me). Hope you like the pics and the car

Night time:

A teaser pic

I am actually starting to like these rims. RealOEM says that BMW has made 17" ones of this style, but I haven't seen any in real life. Have you?

Day time:

Well, a lot of pics and that's it for now. There will be more, when I get to Denmark this weekend. Then I'll start ordering some sweet stuff from Ebay and you will be informed about all of that. Cheers!

Thanks man, I'm also very happy that at last me and my dad had some time together doing some kind of a project. The car did look really sweet for less than 4 days, because today, after changing the brake pads and discs in the rear, I also put the winter tires on. Now the car looks like a Tank again. Of course, it would be exactly what to do when getting ready for a 2k km journey, but still, lower means more stable.
I just can't wait for the summer to begin, so my car can glide a few centimeters above the ground again.

I am also looking forward for getting my salary, because then I'll be ordering some sweet rims for the next season

Finished my 2k km trip to Denmark a few days ago. The Bimmer felt really happy when going on the highway, I was also surprised about the fuel consumption - it was a lot lower than I thought - while going on 160km/h the consumption was less than 8L/100km

The trip went perfectly - I did the 2k km in less than 23h, the only things what happened was the handbrake failure in the middle of Poland and the police stopping me at the border of Poland. Fortunately the policeman was really nice and let me go for 20EUR instead of paying the 70EUR fine. Going 88km/h where the limit is 50 was not a good idea, I see.

Love that color, it looks great. I would just toss on some big wheels and leave it at that.

Thanks, I will put some 16x9's on it, 17" is a maximum, and only, if I get a sweet price for them. The visual appearance will stay like this, I guess, only some minor mods and major mods on the interior.
