Question Interior color

I am currently ordering my new X3 and I am having a dilemma between the interior color I should choose. Exterior is going to be alpine white, and I am between chestnut and mojave. Can everyone give some input on what they think would be nice? I like the oyster too but I am worried it will look faded and old in a few years which would be grim since I am purchasing the vehicle.

Fears: Mojave is too much of a pale brown, and Chestnut is too orange/red ish.

I currently have saddle brown/space grey on my 335i and I love how it looks. Any input is much appreciated.

I have an Alpine White with the Sand Beige interior and the wood trim and it looks SUPER!!!! I thought that I would get tired of the beige color but I havent yet.

Not worried about not liking the lighter colors, I am worried about them getting dirty, hence why am between mojave or chestnut

My husband and I have owned 14 BMWs. The previous two cars I owned before the X3 had grey interiors and they really never showed dirt.

been the grey route and I don't like it, its looks bland.. (no offense just MHO). I don't dislike black I just feel that its a bit standard and gives no character to the car.

I personally love the Mojave and really like how it look on the pics that I have seen. I don't think it would show the dirt and might actually help hide it.

I can't imagine if Havanna leather (Mojave in the US) would ever look dirty........it's reminiscent of the "Tobacco" leather on X5s and is kind of a coffee brown. It's not as "shouty" and more subdued, although still quite stylish. http://www.motor-talk.de/bilder/ich-...203683791.html

The Red Brown (Chestnut in the US) reminds me of a brick red. Toned down enough but a bit too flash for me.

I have a Deep Sea Blue Metallic exterior with the Chestnut interior. I'd say Chestnut looks more like Cinnamon, is definitely not bland as it has a bit of a reddish tint, and it doesn't seem to show the dirt.

I also did not want a light color, as I have dogs and an active life, so dirt was a big concern.

I did not want black, as I live in Texas where the temperature has been over 100F for an eternity.

The Mojave was my second choice, but I've had a similar color before and wanted something different.

Both good choices, though.

I have deep sea blue and mojave and it looks great. I've seen mojave in the white and it looks awesome. In fact it was what helped us decide to get the mojave. My wife (who picked the final colors) even remarked that she likes mojave better in white than the DSB.

I haven't seen Mojave in person but I do not regret getting Chestnut. It looks really sharp and is something other than beige, black, or grey. Been there and done that...

I went with white and sand beige and the darker wood. The lighter one does not look good. Make sure you see both nd you see the difference.

I ordered Alpine White and Chestnut. Currently have a 128 with Space Grey and the red leather. I wanted something that gave the same pop and the red in the 128 has held up beautifully.

My X3 started production this week so I hope to be driving it in a few weeks.

I have a 2011 X3 in Titanium Silver with a Chestnut interior.
It keeps clean and I can't believe the number of compliments I get.

Ah.. been there. I wanted beige interior, but everyone in my family said it will easily get dirty (the test car has beige interior and indeed, it is dirty). Dealer has no color swatches for the red brown/chestnut and havana/mojave leather. There was a 5 series display car on the showroom floor that has Cinnamon brown interior, everyone loves it.
Went online and the chestnut brown looked red, figured it may be the lighting in the picture so I went and search for cinnamon brown interior photos in the same lighting condition. Chestnut brown still looked more red, while cinnamon brown looked more brown.
Decided to play safe and ordered black

I have a jet black with chestnut interior.
I like the interior very much and like you have gotten a lot of complements on it.
Itís not a red as the pictures show.

Where is terra cotta when we really need it? Anything but black -- it is too hot in the sun and shows every tiny speck of dust, kick marks (if you have kids), and just looks "grimey" in the stiches. The only worse color I can think of is white. The tan, saddle, tobacco, or whatever its called this week, is also a good choice -- makes the car interior look "richer" than most -- kind of Porsche like in a way.

I just picked up my X3. Alpine White with Mojave. I never saw the Mojave in person and i just took a chance. I was also worried it would be bland. Once I saw it in person i LOVE it. It is truly a very rick color. I recommend getting it with the darker wood trim. Its an amazing combination.

Thanks for all the input guys, I couldn't see the color in person because the dealer didnt have any inventory other than black or beige (which I think is stupid), and so I just went with the mojave//alpine white//dark wave trim. Hopefully I won't regret it.

You will not regret it...The dealer that we bought ours from is a friend of mine. They are a pretty large volume dealer and have not delivered a mojave interior since they delivered ours...People don't buy what they can't see!!
Nice having something that is mass produced that is kinda exclusive. The pic posted above is pretty accurate as to the exact color of the materials.

I have the Tobacco leather in my X3 and I also have a little girl who is now 7. It has been through juice boxes, ground up gold fish crackers, and even some Barbie nail polish, with no problems. I keep it clean with Lexol cleaner and conditioner and it looks the same as when I got it three years ago. It is a deep earth tone.

Funny how people freak out about leather. Leather was used back in the day because it was/is durable. It became fashionably expense later.
