Tires?
I just ordered a new X3 3.5 with Premium, Sport Activity, Satelllite radio, PDC/camera, and was wondering what kind of all-season RFTs they're putting on these days, The demonstrator I drove had Continentals Conti-sports, which seemed fine, but and I heard they're also using Goodyears, and something else?
My '04 X3 3.0 has Pirelli Scorpions, which have been great, but I have no particular experience with RFTs. TIA- |

Are all y'all planning to run those tires year round, or are you planning on winter rims and snows? This may not be an issue in NM where the OP is from, but TN gets some winter weather, and MI gets it big time. Here in MA, we get our fair share too. I'm trying to decide what to do. At present, I'm leaning towards a second set of wheels and a set of snow tires.

The Pirelli P7 M+S they use in the US aren't going to cut it for snow. I can almost guarantee you that.

Thanks for the 411. I have Pirelli Scopions STRs on my current '04, & they've been great. One of my buddies just got his 3.5 with Goodyears and is happy (also has them on a 535ix, also happy). Santa Fe is at 7000', mtns here go up to 10,500+', so yes, snow is an issue here. I guess it'll be luck of the draw . . . stay tuned later -
Cheers, M2 |

The LS2's are on the M with 19's
I too live at 7000 and going with a dedicated snow tire.. I plan on just running the LS2's down and then have dedicated summer and winter... |
