Thanks for the compliment!

I've done a little bit more to it since the picture shown. Added Apex ARC 8 rims, some interior goodies. I may take some pictures of it this weekend and post. It's been fun upgrading and driving!

I certainly like your car as well!

Cool Z4 '03 Roadster Black Dinan

Mine just turned 22,500 yesterday.

I bought it a couple of months ago.

Love the car, but I think the top motor went south along with the amplifier in the trunk well.

Now to figure out how to make the top workable with the emergency thingies.

Had 18K on my original 2007 Z4M coupe before I turned it in at lease. Had planned to buy it but dealer bent the strut tower joy riding. On a happy note, have 9K miles on the replacement I just purchased!

Purchased my '05 the fall of 2009 with about 8,500 miles on it. Now has about 27,000. I alternate driving it and my '08 X3 (also with three pedals!! ) which also has about 25,000 miles on it . . . and I walk to work many days of the year. Both rigs see a lot of highway driving. No significant repairs to the Z4, although I just got around to ordering replacement tires for it . . . and will be ditching the run flats. BMW's roadsters are wonderful cars!

97 Z3 2.8L has 198,000 on it just came back from a trouble free road trip from Colorado Springs to Santa Fe. The only fix that I have done lately is swap out the secondary air pump with one from a junk yard Audi.

C'mon - how much joy do you get simply looking at your car? They're made to be driven Pile those miles on. My '07 CPO was purchased in April 2010 with just under 30k miles. It now has over 52k miles on the clock - gives me a grin every time I drive it.

I feel exactly like you do. I love my Roadster precisely because it's so much fun to drive! Most of the miles I put on were due to "joy riding," with absolutely no destination in mind.

2007 Z4 Coupe 32000 miles, replaced cupholder

drivers side cupholder broke a week after I bought her (01/2010 w/11K miles)

new set of Kuhmo's at about 25K.

I put about 300mi/wk on Stella as she is my daily driver. 30/mi each way to/from work, in Atlanta traffic that means 60-90 minutes drive time :o) It is the nicest part of my day.

I'll confess to this: as I leave my office for home, I drive by a long building with a nicely mirrored building-long set of front windows. I get a real kick out of watching Stella zooming past! The one day my wife was with me for the drive home, I said "look to your left" as we drove by that building and she said 'you are a very sad, sad man...."

Sad? I don't think so! More like "grinning like a Cheshire cat(man)........"

Dr. Stephen

I often do the same around town, as there are a few buildings downtown that have lots of glass along the front. I just love the way my '05's wheels look when turning!! I am a grinner too!!

Before I purchased my car I used to look at these cars on the road and just stare. I thought they were so sharp (and still do!). So why not stare at your own?! I will still walk to a parking lot, spot my car and think, "Wow, that car is so nice-looking! I will probably never love another car as much as I do this one." Surely the most distinctive and recognizable of all the BMW models.

I'm up to 53.500! Yipes! On weekends I am guilty of getting in my car to run local errands, but once I get behind the wheel, I find myself taking long, unintended drives. I just chalk it up to "BMW JOY!"
