Why are you loving the awd with no bad weather or whatever to need it for? Rwd is better if you have dry roads for acceleration and handling.

Ain't e46's a thing of beauty? I never get tired of looking at them. Cool to own a car you really love rather than some civic or something.

All wheelszzz

Well, Im so used to driving Jeeps (who also have a heavy loyal following and although a 4 wheel drive monstrosity, I have never owned a sedan with All wheel drive. Perhaps its a new feeling but i feel like i have overall more control over the car. Im not sure if i can chalk this up to all wheel drive or not, but never the less i feel like i have more control and speed from this classy beast of a car. Living in NY means i will need the AWD in nov-aPril. Cant wait to test it out

Also, I think i made a boo boo and want to double check with you guys for truth to this. I ummm, accidently put 89 in this car and started getting the SES light with mis fires. As soon as i droped octane booster in it kicked off and back to normal operation. Am i forever locked in to higher priced gasoline now.

If you put in 89 it should run fine if your engine is all proper. You have two knock sensors that work with the ECM to run just fine on that octane. So perhaps you need new sensors. Pull codes from your car.
Most all of us run 91 because you get better power, mileage, and pricer additives keep the engine cleaner perhaps. Why have such a great car, and then have it under perform.

Never doubted you WILL find the AWD usefull!

Here's a good shot where you can see where the two knock sensors bolt onto the block right beneath the (removed) intake manifold.
