Reading Sprint's earning call transcript, I'd say there will be rumor of S acquiring PCS in late 2013 or 2014 assuming it continues to gain traction on NV and subscriber gain for the rest of the year, reasons being (1) Dan H has finally gained creditably from the board to turn the company around after being denied the idea earlier this year, (2) Sprint is running out of specturm by 2015 excluding CLWR's low-quality 2.5Ghz, and (3) Sprint will be done with Network Vision, and ready to merge with another CDMA and LTE carrier, and most importantly, (4) Dans' statement from the call that it wants to see consolidation in the industry.

$5.5 isn't that far fetched at this point.

The volume yesterday definitely ranked top 5 of all time.

Up another 7% already in heavy volume. If you bought the time I pointed out S' about to break out at 3, it's already a 50% return in 1 month.

Facebook got thumbs down... way down. Thankfully my loss is only a couple hundred bucks there...

The ECB can print money til the cows come home and prevent a Euro collapse. Since the alternative (Greece exit, possible financial collapse and massive deflation) is scarier, that migiht be what they will do.

The volume's still relatively heavy, and up another 3% today with 2.5 hrs left. Yeah, those calls really made some big bucks... I was still losing on paper until the recent rally and the position added in May definitely helps tremendously. Now I have a decent position on S with profits on paper.

Sometimes I wish Cramer could stop pumping up S... yes I know it's great story, but he's really been pumping it too much.

When people get all excited, it doesn't take much to take it back down, in a big way.

I think it can go to 5.50 before next earning call (yes, another 3 months down the road). technically speaking.

If the next earning call is good and the market didn't crash, there's a long way up to go for S.

Yes I've said it before (last time it topped 5.5 a year ago) but the market over-reacted to the slight bump in July, which could happen again if hot money keeps pumping in, and then the "we don't care about CLWR" fiasco in October when unveiling the Network Vision project... but take away all those noise, S turn-around is a true story that has been years in the making, literally, since Dan Hesse took over the office.

I was expecting some covering after the last drop and my source from Macau tells me numbers were good during tournament week so calls should do well this week for LVS. Let's see..

I expect Garmin to take back off again one day. I have spotted the Garmin street view car taking photos and videos in Taipei. There are now 3 cars doing so. Before it was just Google but now we have Apple and recent Garmin that have joined in on this. This should get interesting now that Garmin has started to start street views as well.

It's not that simple - This effort is there to keep up with the big boys.

Garmin's growth in fitness is what's holding the company for now, but in the long run it depends on the complete auto in-dash system, hence Apple's Siri-button announcement in June was enough to take away 10% of its market cap, and that's just the thunder.

Also keep an eye on whether the company can grow in Marine and Aviation markets.

I was watching TVIX and VIX today. TVIX was barely down today when the market was down around -150 points. I reckon we bounce but Asian stocks sold off today. Not easy to call but usually when VIX is barely down it usually means we turn around and we did some yesterday before closing.

Apple is a good one to keep an eye on with the new iPhone 5 due out by next month. Apple usually has a run up before each new iPhone is released so we are due for another run up. On the dips Apple is good to buy noes of course the whole freakin market tanks which has been long overdue now.

I was mostly cash when the market was higher than today 4 months ago, still mostly cash.

I'm buying more shorts at these prices, cause sometimes you need a good false rally before you can get a real downturn. What are you doing? Let me guess, you ride your mutual funds up and down, ignore it when it's down, then when they're up, you think buy and hold is a great strategy?

You probably felt great but didn't sell when the S&P was 1500 in 2000, then again when it was 1500 in 2007?

Been a bumpy few months for OCZ stock shares. Big drop followed by a big bounce with another drop after.OCZ is quite volatile.

Something for Sprint is cooking. The other day this week someone loaded up big on the November calls and today right before the market closed someone bought a shi$ load of the August 18 Sprint $5.5 calls. I tried to get my order through just before closing bell as well but it did not go through. Will try and get in early on Monday if stock is not already up again before market opens.
