Mein Auto: 2003 X5
2003 coolant reservoir problems

I am in the middle of trying to replace my coolant reservoir on my 2003 x5 3.O .....i cannot figure out how to get the hoses and things loose from the bottom.....please help....anyone?....i have all the hoses loose that i can get to at the top and midways down...but it still wont come out

Spray the joint down with WD-40 to break the surface tension of the o-ring seal.
The E46 guys use a floor jack and a block of wood from underneath; the tank pops right out.

The hoses have lugs cast into them, DO NOT twist the hose at the neck, you'll shear the mating lugs off.
There's no good way to get any leverage to pull them straight down, but thats the only way to get them off.
