Way, way too soon to tell, but mine has benn running about 12L/100 during it's first 2000kms break in period. Seems a bit high on yours but it's early and it could be how you are driving it. Wait a while and check it later.

16.6 l/100km is thirsty but if you're biased towards urban driving and/or have a heavy foot, that's about right for a "green" (not-broken-in) engine. With turbocharged engines, the consumption is even more dependent on driver style.

sometimes it says 89.7 , 97.1 etc any idea? thanks

Mein Auto: 2011 335i Coupe
When I got my first 335i I got the lowest possible mileage for the first few months because I was joyriding on hills and curves and driving short distances mostly. But when driving highway I get the top specs, especially when driving mostly at or over 140KMH.

Oh, and I think the 89.7, 97.1 is how many miles left in your tank and that will fluctuate based on your driving, so if you have your display set to show that, it will likely just drive you nuts!! I just keep mine on showing me what my mileage is and rarely look at those other computations.

The 89.7 or whatever could be many things. Trip computer? FM radio station? Its kind of hard to be sure without a picture. It is certainly not range because range doesn't display to the tenth of a km.

I have 2600 km on my x3 35i.With in town driving and behaving myself, most of the time ,I am averaging 11. ltr per 100 km .I would love better but can live with that . I don't really know how long it will take for full break in to get max mileage

my bmw (a 325 e90) got better fuel economy after the break-in oil was changed. i also find that its much easier to meet the posted fuel economy for the highway than city.

Mein Auto: You don't want to know
For the first 2,000 km, I've got 12L/100KM all city drive with my 28i...... After 5,000km, I've managed 11L/100KM with 90% city drive.....

H0mer,

Can you sing Oh Canada? They do Metric in the Great White North, and pretty much everywhere else in the world except the US. 'Course in Canada it used to be Imperial Gallons...

12L/100Km = 19.6 GPM. 11L/100KM = 21.4 GPM.
