Windshield Fluid
Is it normal for the windshield fluid of a new car to be low after using the wippers literally 3 times? I wonder if there's a leak or they didn't top it off at delivery?

Yes, quite a few others have mentioned this. Apparently the washer fluid isn't topped off when it leaves the factory. Mine took an entire jug just after delivery. Make sure the cap is on tight as well so none is spilling out.

Is this something that the dealership will provide or is there a recommended brand?
It's kindof annoying since there isn't any Big Box (Walmart etc) stores to buy that near where I live.. |

Just use any ordinary washer fluid.

Windscreen washer fluid
I use BMW washer fluid as, in the past, I have found that some cheap makes of fluid will clog up the nozzles on BMW's - maybe they use finer nozzles than other carmakers.

I use rain-x fluids on the 330xi, haven't tried to put it in x3 yet but I will.

Update: No leak, took it to the dealership and they topped it off for a nominal $3
