Brake light OBC problem

Good morning all. I know this topic has been talked about a great deal. I have searched the forums looking for a solution, found a lot of steps to get me where I am today, but now I need help help.
I have the brake light failure light on the OBC of my 85 524td. I have cleaned, sanded & replaced sockets as needed. All new bulbs and everything works great. Still the light. I replaced the brake light switch, still the light. I really hate that light!! Any ideas on what I do next?

It's most likely in the connectors, connection points, bulbs, or sockets. Keep switching them around and try to clean the contact areas as well as you can. Just because a connector or wire is covered in insulation doesn't mean it not corroded. Keep working on it, and you'll eventually solve the problem.
