Pre 2007 z4 electrical problems, any advice much appreciated

I have a post a few days ago about buying a 2006 Z4 w/ 28k miles and 100k warranty until 8/12 from the BMW dealer for $21k and a few of you guys said that it's sounds a little high.
Just talked to another dealer and he said to stay away from anything before 2007 because of electrical problems.

I haven't found anything yet and was just going to to to the dealer tonight to purchase the above car but now with someone stating electrical problems I'm worried. After 8/2012 when the warranty's expired I don't want to be paying for expensive issues.

Can anyone confirm or deny the electrical issues in pre 07 Z4's

Thanks.

Let me guess, he has an 08 to sell you. That's nonsense, Zs have never been prone to excessive electrical problems. I'm on my third (Z3, Z4, M Roadster).

I have had no electrical problems with my 2003 Z4 either.
