Aftermarket control arm bushings & warranty

I've always been annoyed by handling characteristics of my 2001 330 under duress. I've complained to the dealer frequently; they've replaced the front control arm bushings under warranty once which did help somewhat. I've all along thought that there was something wrong which the dealer just hasn't been able to find.

However, after reading about people replacing them with urethane bushings and the improvement in handling characteristics, I am thinking it might just be the characterstics of the bushings themselves that is the problem. So, I would like to replace them with urethane bushings.

What effect does this sort of modification have on one's warranty (which is still valid for 2 more years)? Would the control arms themselves no longer be warranted (which seem to be a frequent problem for many)?

Any damage or faults in your suspension that can be linked to the bushings would not be covered. The bushings would not affect the warranty on any non-affected parts (you electronics, mechanicals, etc).
