Exclamation Under-drive pulley set good idea?

Ok i haven't seen any posts about the pulley sets that are for sale all over the place that claim 12Hp gains. i have been considering them but since they are under-driven not quite sure what effect it will have on the alternator, power-steering, and the Water pump. curious to know if anyone out there has them and if you have any problems with over heating or low voltage.

The "street" versions typically do not underdrive the alternator.

The do see some HP gains, but I doubt 12 HP. And really what is 12 HP going to do?

well the ones I've seen say that they do under drive the alternator and most of them claim 10-12Hp so idk but an extra 12hp is better than not having it especially since its so hard to squeeze extra juice from this car since its already pretty much at its full potential as an N/A car. im just wondering if there is any negative effects with the pulley set and does it even gain anything cuz i am pretty skeptical about the 12hp.

It will get you something. You reduce the load from the accessories, so that power is available to the rear wheels. But small gains will not be noticible unless you race. And maybe even not there.

Not worth it on a street car.
