I'm having trouble finding the manual parts at prices I'm willing to pay so we may have to hold off until winter for that.

I really want to get it done though because I'm positive the car will become about 100 times as fun.

So, if anyone comes across a GM RWD manual trans, throw me a link! something from an 80's camaro would be ideal but I think we can make almost anything work.

It's a shame you didn't do this in a hellrot 318ti. I just saw a stock ti today and thought about this project of yours. I wonder if it would be so heavy as to bring the rear wheels up off the ground!

I was out at our nearby u-pull it Sunday with no luck....Finding free days to get there is hard too. Manual V8 cars weren't very common years ago so finding the stuff isn't easy surprisingly. I found a few whole cars I've considered, but I couldn't haggle the prices enough to justify buying a whole car when I need just a few pieces. If I can find the stuff by mid September I don't see taking the car to h2o with the manual swap complete being a problem But, if it doesn't happen by then I'll be patient and work on a bunch of things at once this winter when I have more free time available to play.

If you find something just post up the link. I don't expect you guys to have the knowledge to know exactly what I want, but the extra eyes looking out are appreciated and all I have to do is click your links and take a look.

Big props to you. Anyone that badtalks this can only be doing so out of jealousy. The work is obviously quality, and the fact that you guys did it yourselves just adds to it all the more.

Look forward to seeing the manual transmission and supercharger (wait what )

Found everything I need to the manual swap from one guy at a great price on thursday night.

Parts are home and I'm just looking for time to get the swap done now! I can't wait. The car is cool right now but it'll be 100x more fun with a proper transmission.

Took a few short videos last night, nothing crazy but should be enough to hold those of you that haven't seen the car in real life over for now.

Very Nice work and I can't even imagine the time table. I came across this thread in a google search for SBC powered E36's. I wanted to see a few others. I have just put one together myself.... over the last 6 MONTHS!!! Holy Smokes, 6 weeks is awesome!! Mine is drag race dedicated and not a cool street car like yours though. You guys did a great job. And... I feel your pain on the hood. Carb'd is tall. I'm a noob obviously. Signed up to give props on your car really. Can you post a link for the video you got? I'm out on the west coast and probably won't get to see it in person. LOL Again, nice work.

What cooling issues were you having? BTW...

What a great post. I like how the car went through about 5 sets of different wheels during the process
