Radio crackeling

I have a 2006 750I with 70,000.00 miles on her. The radio and cd has so much static you can't listen to it. Where is the radio or amplifier in this car? I want to take it out and replace it.

I have a 2004 745 LI and my amp is in the trunk on the left. The paneling has to be removed to see it, but it looks like a huge silver rectangle...
