• Fifth generation of the elusive BMW M5 (chassis code F10). Billed as a high performance 4-door sedan combining luxury and mind numbing performance for the auto enthusiasts.
• Brand new 4.4 liter V8 engine featuring twin scroll, twin turbo technology and maxing out at 560 horsepower @ 6,000-7000rpm[/B] and [B]502 lb-ft of torque at 1,500rpm!

More 2012 BMW M5 Stats -

• 0 - 62 in 4.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (190 with M Driver's Package)
• Power transfer to the rear wheels via the seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic; traction-optimized automatic gear selection; Launch Control; Low Speed Assistance; automatically activated parking mode; M-specific gear selector; M leather steering wheel with shift paddles.
• Two individually configured set-ups for the car can be called up using the new M Drive buttons on the steering wheel; range of programmable parameters unique in the segment: engine response, M Servotronic responses, Drivelogic shift program, DSC mode, Dynamic Damper Control and information in the Head-Up Display.

Damn, that's one good-looking M5!

However, isn't it time BMW came up with a new M wheel design?

They have been riding that pony for a long time now. there is a slight change in the wheels but nothing significant.

lol @ the wheel design comment...you are right but it still rocks though....they have to keep the spokes to a minimum as they have to keep them light......

I'm breathless just looking at the damn photo!

The new M5 looks much more "beastier" (yes I know that's not a word) than the previous version. Kind of like the difference between Sean Connery (aggressive and bold) playing James Bond and Roger Moore (refined). IMO when it comes to the M5, I'll take the Sean Connery aggressive styling.

Ok, now I just need to finish cutting some more lawns.

DEFINITELY excited for the new M5 to hit out dealership!!! Once it arrives, I urge you all to come and check it out in person.

This same color and wheel setup is at the Philly auto show that I attended today. The frozen silver does have a matte look and the car was simply stunning in person. I was so looking forward to seeing it (and the new 911 Carrera S) and BMW really nailed it with the dimensions and muscular design. It just looks like a beast, but so refined at the same time. Far and away my favorite car at a show with everything from a yellow LFA, to a black/red SLS AMG with matte black rims (lots of matte finishes at the show), R8 V10, Aventador, creamy white Aston Rapide, Maserati coupe with a carbon rear lip, gray Panamera Turbo S, blacked out ZR1, Fisker Karma...lots of nice stuff.

The new 911 looks terrific in person and they had a few on display, but the medium blue that I sat in looks wonderful. The larger rims help it a lot. Can't wait to see the next turbo. Would look nice next to my X5 in the garage.
