E63 / E64 6 Series (2003 - 2013)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

What does "not working" mean? No air blowing? Did you have the fan speed on "auto" or did you manually spin the fan speed dial?

If you have air blowing but no heat, then it's probably just the manual air settings under iDrive > Climate. Check out page 101 & 102 of the owner's manual. Here is post with a shot of the page.

If you see a solid blue torso on the iDrive screen then the car is set to blow cold air only. Use the iDrive controller to select the square with the + and - sign then turn the iDrive dial clockwise until you get a red torso. You will now have heat. Mega BMW design fail if you ask me. I though my heating was broken until I found this setting and it is VERY poorly described in the manual.
