Big thanks especially to Mole who I don't see around much but was a huge help.

Congrats on your order! Wish Mole would show his face around here to. I think he got fed up with the boards and all the nay-sayers.

Did you find invoice pricing for the 2012 models or did you use 2011 invoice? I've been looking for invoice pricing on 2012's but can't find it anywhere.

The sticky has MSRP prices - I'm looking for updated invoice prices for the 2012's.

Oops. I should learn to read every word in a post before replying to it. I haven't seen X3 invoice pricing anywhere, although I've found 2012 pricing for other BMW models.

So what do you think the chances are that they'll start taking the 2012 orders September 1st? I'm dying to know when they'll be able to place the order and do not want to start calling them already...

P.S. yes, I am NOT a patient man

If they have the build slot, you can place the order for a 2012 now.

Did your CA tell you when would you expect to get the 2012 X3? Will 2012 X3 start production at the beginning of Sep.?

Do you mind telling us if you dealt with a local dealer or one of the dealers sponsered here on bimmerfest? I would like to deal local in Dallas but will ultimately go with whoever gives the best deal. Doesn't really matter who since I am going to do the PCD.

My local dealer gave me $500 over invoice and we priced the car together while looking at the computer bmw template ordering system so I know the numbers are what they say (I trust no one).

I actually had two dealers offer my $500 over invoice locally but the one closer to me is A LOT better so I went with them.

I had a friend who got a X5d in upstate NY for $500 over invoice off the lot.

I'm starting to think almost all dealerships find that they still make a good sum of money at $500 over invoice.

Honestly, the place I went with locally- I never EVER thought they'd go for $500 over invoice because they get all the area high-rolling baseball/football players (i.e. they don't need my business) but they were fantastic and easy. Their service department rocks - always a bmw loaner of equal or better. Super glad to give them my business.

Did you finance it or leased it? because my dealer told me that I can't lease 2012 yet. Is that true?

you mean without the packages?

The invoice pricing at my dealer matched pretty closely with the invoice prices posted on the top of the forum.

Im my understanding they have MSRP price posted on top of the forum. and the price went up by $1350 (from $41050 for '11 to $42400 for '12), so I'm trying to understand if the invoice price went up as well

All I know is MSRP was about $54100 and I came in around $50400 pretax/fees packaged as above with $500 over the invoice listing.

The base price did go up for the 35i but depending on what packages and options you were planning on getting the price may actually be less on a 2012. I just placed my order yesterday for a 2012 and the MSRP price configured the same was $350 less than a 2011.
