7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Question After switching from 94s to 126s... [+PICS]

I am experiencing a bit of a "jerk" with the wheels. Never really got this feeling with the 94s, but the jerking feeling isn't as bad as when I had 128s on the car.

I did not get the wheels balanced and I did not get it aligned. I know that the ride will be less soft (which is great) and more sporty. Is there any way to fix the jerking feeling though. It is very minor, but since our cars have s****y transmissions, it seems smart to reduce any sort of stress. Does this come from not having the wheels balanced?

Also, is there any sort of spacer or modification that needs to happen when swapping to a different wheel? I used the same lugs each time 128 --> 94 --> 126.

Also: what are the long term side effects of not being aligned? What are the long term effects of not being balanced?

Thanks guys!

Usually switching OEM wheels belonging to the same model usually have no issues at all. I am confused by your description. By jerking, do you mean like shaking? Does this "jerking" increase as you drive faster?
