I Need Help Bad.

Ive owned an 83 533i for about a month now and just the other day my speedometer wont work. it will wobble and never go past 40mph. then the same thing happened to my RPM gadge. it wobbles and never goes above 2000. any ideas would be helpful cuz i really dont wanna take it to a shop. thx everyone.

Sounds like some sort of electrical instrument panel connection issue common to both items. Check your connections, fuses, grounds, etc for corrosion or a loose connection. You may have to remove the instrument panel and examine it and its connections very carefully.
