What happened to Comfort Seats?

Smh... Always threads about how small this car is and also about how big it is. If the side bolsters really mattered you shouldve got the sport seats.

Sports seats do NOT have adjustable side bolsters.

My old E39 530i Sport had side bolsters but they weren't adjustable so you either fit the seats or you didn't. I fit them as I'm quite slim. A larger person may have been squeezed by them. I have the comfort seats on my new 528i but it doesn't have side bolsters, adjustable or otherwise. Have to say I don't miss the bolsters. I'm certainly not sliding around or swimming in the seat. The new seats are very comfortable and I can't see how they could possibly be called dangerous because of the lack of bolsters. Maybe you drive a lot faster than I do...

The fact that several posters have gone from seats with adjustable side bolsters to the new comfort seats without missing the adjustably of the side bolsters is reassuring.

The E60 had adjustable side bolsters on the 20 way seats.

The F10 (in the US) has 18 way seats and the adjustable bolsters are missing. In Europe, they're still there, and they are still there on the 7, the GT, etc.

BTW, in the US, they are called Multicontour seats. Not Sport, not Comfort. This is confusing, because in other areas like Europe, there IS a dedicated Sport seat which we do not get. We get standard seats or 18 way multicontour seats.

Comfort seats (optional) in Canada are 18 way without side bolsters, adjustable or not. Are these the same seats as Multicontour on the US models?

Sounds like it, although the "without side bolsters" sounds incorrect as pretty much all cars have some form of bolstering on their seats, even cheapo economy cars.

Yes, there are bolsters but nothing close to the body huggers on my old Sports seats. I am assuming that the adjustable bolsters being discussed here are much more prominent than on my current car.
