Question Can daytime running lights be change to halo's instead??

hey fellaz,

i want to get some reprograming done (windows up, trunk down etc.) but was curious to know if i can have my daytime running lights switched to the halo's instead of the highbeams running? has anyone done this? i know we can control whether or not we want the side corner lights on or not.

DRLs

The DRLs on the 02' to 08' 7 series are located next to the HID headlights and are an ugly yellow incandescent bulb. They can be activated or deactivated by your BMW dealer or if you have the software and cable you can do it yourself. You CAN NOT make the HALOs the DRLs on this model car like the new BMWs as they are tied to the parking lights. But nothing is impossible, so I'm sure you could rewire them to get the desired effect, but not advisable.

those are the DRL's running. The OP wants to know if the angel eyes can be used as DRL's vs the inner lights that you saw. As far as I know, it's not possible, but I can hope there is some way via creative coding in the light module.

Yea I know. Can someone tell me how to get the old way to work? I have tried to pull back on the stock but they don't stay on, they just blink like passing lights.

Old school is fine with me.

Thank you all for any input

Maybe no one knows how to code it . Try asking the stealers, I'm sure it wont cost more than a million dollars.

I can make the AE rings light up as DRL with the old school way ... You need to hard wire it that all.
done it many time for many members over Xoutpost.com with their facelift X5 and many E60 plus mine e66.

Why not just buy new bmw? Question was if it can be programed. Everyone knows LM2 doesnt fit or needs some modification that no1 is going to do. Why bother saying yes. Im sorry but whats the point. Its same as back in a day member said u can code prefaselift ask unit read mp3

Well I never said pre-facelift can read MP3 , &
If you actually read the post I replied To , it
was Regarding programming his daytime
running Lights that were not active on his car , not programming his halo's to act as DRL .

Yes it does , you just need to move a wire to
Another pin position . As a matter of fact
When you have the dealer replace your light
Module they put in the newer LM2 like in the
Newer 06 to 08 e65 e66 . Another fact is you
Can even look at the tis & it tells you what wire
Needs to change Pin positions .

Here is an LM II out of an 07 7 series

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=181002069899
