Did your 5-series come with any floor mats?

Hey guys....

I just got back from a local dealer and they said that only the 5 series came with mats, but they are really plain and basic (no BMW imprint or padded heel rest). He said if I wanted the nice mat, I would have to order/pay for them. No surprise there.

Does this sound right? Do 5's in fact come with any mats? Any insight would be appreciated.

Another way for BMW to cut cost? Hopefully the floor mats are still secured to the car.

My dealer said that they do not come with mats but they include them in every deal. They apparently have different grades of mats also. I just bought my daughter a new 2011 328 xi and the mats are paper thin. The ones I have in my F10 are equal to the ones in my 750LI. Seems to me that these should definitely be included by BMW.

Mats are included with the 5 Series. It's been that way for a while now. Regarding differing qualities I have no knowledge.

It comes with something really cheap. I ordered OEM all weather rubber met, too much outdoor activities.

Anyone know any front and back seat covers that are compatible with side air bags, for the E60 5s?

My 550i came with mats (front and back) and a trunk liner. There was also another piece of mat material that folded on all four sides (could turn it into a flimsy looking step), but I have no idea what that's for. They are not as heavy/thick as my 750Li's, but they'll do. There was a baggie of velcro tabs in the trunk too that I assume are for attaching to the interior floor.

Mine attach to the floor velcro pads - came that way from the factory. No imprint though unlike my 2008 550i which did have the BMW imprint on the front mats...

Bunky, I think we have the same trunk liner and if so that extra piece is to make a storage box for the trunk. When it is folded and fastened with the bump pattern on the outside it then locks to the bumps on the trunk liner and reduces slippage. I have been using it and loading up with different items and it has yet to move from where I placed it in the trunk, works pretty well.

Hi, visiting from the 3 forum. My 2011 335 came with all four mats and the driver side has the BMW logo. They are velcroed. They are very nice. My 2011 has the same mats as were in my 07 335. Maybe the dealer threw them in, I don't know.

I'd say your dealer is full of crap. BMW lists floor mats as a standard feature (see link below) and everyone I've looked at has them. If someone's dealer is adding them into a deal for extra money they're basically committing fraud.

I got my car two weeks ago and carpet floor mats were included at no extra charge like jeff650 indicated. I may be wrong on this but it seems there are three floor mats available. The standard carpet floor mats have no logo/lettering on them but are color matched to the interior. Then there is another carpet floor mat which has an accent area with BMW lettering. They are available in several colors on the BMWNA website. I just ordered them for my car to replace the standard ones. Finally there is an all weather rubber mat available for the car.

Hey all, just closed deal on a new 550i xDrive. My 2011 came with floor mats (rubber and carpet). Do the 2013s also come with both?

I have beige interior, so it came with beige mats. when i opened the trunk the day after i took delivery, i was surprised to see a set of BMW Rubber mats as well. So nice of the dealer. I use the Rubber mats now for the winter. I purchased a set of stock black carpet mat for summer from fellow fester.

The beige set that came with the car remains at home. will use it when the queen of england comes over.

Echh on the padded heel rest, I'm glad my factory-supplied BMW mats don't have that "feature".

I was completely bummed, turned off and annoyed when I saw hoe boring and cheap these floor mats looked. I mean, they feel okay, and at least they're attached to the car via velcro, but no BMW logo? WTF? Out of all the high quality, attention to detail and refined essences of this car, they really cheaped out here.

My W212 Mercedes had paper thin mats as M-B has been cost cutting the hell out of their interiors (my previous W211 E-Class had a very plush, high quality, luxurious feeling mat, however AT LEAST it had a Mercedes logo plaque on it.

I'll bet these manufacturers would say that their mats are getting thinner due to weight savings/emissions/etc., who knows if it's just an excuse.

My 528i came with carpeted mats and I got the dealer to throw in all weather mats as well. I had them install the all weather mats and put the carpeted mats in the trunk.

Should be standard...

My F10 came with them (so did my E60) and they weren't listed on the invoice so I think they're standard for the 5 series. Nevertheless, I had the dealer throw in a set of the BMW rubber mats (comes with hook connectors) and a set of logo mats (from the accessories catalogue) anyway. Trust me...unless you're doing a "less than invoice" deal, there's plenty of margin still left with the dealer and they should be happy to oblige you.

For example- Mine came with cheap grey mats so I had the dealer throw in some Black BMW logo mats- contrast with better with my M Sport black interior accents, I think.
