Catching People Checking Out my 535 M-Sport

Getting a little chuckle when I am inside a coffee shop and observe others checking out my ride (Carbon Black/Oyster Napa )...have owned a BMW since 1993 and cannot recall strangers checking out my previously owned vehicles. Nice to be loved.

I get that too. There still aren't that many F10s on the roads around here. People interested in cars notice them and come over to look.

Haha... that's really cool. Out here, my poor car has a bit of an inferiority complex. At my work's parking lot, the spaces directly around my 535 are filled with a 750i, Porsche GT3, a 911 Turbo, and a Merc 550. Then when I get home, one of my neighbors have (an old) Bentley and a sweeeet Aston Martin rapide. *sigh*... car envy is a sad, sad thing.

I know how you feel. In Los Angeles area, F10s are pretty common. People will not even notice.

At my work, there are 3 modded M3s, 1 F430, couple of 911 Turbos, Bentley GT, etc.

And, the wealthiest man in the area ONLY drives SUBARU. Go figure.

yup
this car hits them hard..
I am not sure if its the looks or they think its a 7 series at the beginning
I recall my self staring on the 5 before I bought it thinking it was a 7.
then realizing its a 5 and ending up with a 'wow'
(not that I like 7's) but i think its a natural reaction when you see the end series model on the road.

m-sport package FTW, it's much rarer and the difference in the F10 mport and regular model vs the e60 versions is huge.

It's a new BMW, almost everybody wants one. I drive a 3 series and get gazed at shamelessly. When I drive my wife's 2010 Lexus ES 350, nothing happens.

I parked my F10 in the front row at Bimmerfest East and enjoyed it while I saw quite a few people check out my car. Since it is debadged, there were a number of confused faces when they walked around back and still had no idea what it was.

Msport

I get people stop me all the time to check out my 535 M Sport in carbon black with cinnamon. I think the MSport is so much rarer that people just really dig on it. Plus the wheels make it look like a hot wheels car.

Yes, the M-Sport is worth every penny. It turns the F10 from a nice sedan to a sports car IMO. I still don't see too many in the bay area, so it's turning heads up here.

So when he smokes someone that doesn't know what they've gotten themselves into, they're still confused as to why whatever they thought they had in their vehicle left them in the dust.

+1

I notice heads turning and longing glances too…(well… my ego tells me that’s what it is)…especially at slower speeds and through parking lots…Its garaged at home so no driveway stares to report.

Indeed, the M-sport is a dime a dozen on this board, but I still haven't seen a single one other than mine on the road and I love that. Lots of others though, there are now 5 in my garage at work.

I'm finally starting to see some other F10's here in the DC/MD/VA area. I love when I see another one near me on the highway, I am checking them out as well -- great to see how my car looks to others! I've seen another black one the last couple mornings. Even the non-M is mean looking from the front, especially with the halos on. Not sure why people are still complaining about the "conservative" design -- I think the F10 has good presence and has a muscular look from all angles.

It's just the roof of the interior and hte main pillars are black instead of the color of the interior. I ordered the antracite headliner but not convinced I'm going to like it.

With my Cinnamon interior, the anthracite headliner makes a big difference from the standard light gray headliner. It brings the interior altogether by matching the black trim pieces. For other interiors it is still distinctive, but more a toss-up, IMO. I think you'll like it.

I ordered the light grey interior....so I'll see how it looks...BMW has it as an option so it can't be too terrible!
