I would go to Erhard BMW Bloomfield Hills. They are very courteous and have good rewards for returning members. Please speak to Ron Perauch. Tell him that Dr. Desai has referred you. He will be lenient on pricing if you push him.

Tried the guy you suggested. I wasn't impressed. He didn't seem very enthused as if he wanted to sell me a car. I ended up going to another dealership in Farmington Hills.

Sorry to hear that! The Farmington Hills has great sales staff. Ron is a nice guy but can be hard to get across initially but once I got to know him he softened up a bit. However, sometimes with other customers it is not the case. Have fun with your new car from Farmington Hills!

Went in to Erhard in Farmington tonight, Tom Kelly, and they wanted MSRP for EU delivery. I told him I had a price for $1000 over invoice, and he said they wouldn't do it, after talking to his manager. This was for a 550i x; I walked. What kinda deal did John M give?

I worked with Kurt H from the Farmington Hills dealership. I got a 535 2012 ordered for about 2.5K above invoice. They also agreed to give a loaner if I need a car before mine gets here. They were also able to lock in favorable financing rates before BMW announced financng rates and even promised to give me more favorable rates if once the finanCing was released it was more favorable than what they originally gave me. Greatest dealership by far. I went to 3 other dealerships in Metro Detroit and none could compare!

From what I read on here about people getting closer to invoice (a guy in the last couple days was $150 over), I still can't believe they wouldn't get closer, and even $2500 over seems high. I wonder if it's just Detroit... Maybe I should call someone in Chicago...?

Yea, I've seen people say they got cars $150 and $200 over invoice, but I think that's more hte exception than the norm. If dealers only make $200 on every car how would they stay in business and pay commissions to sales guys?

However, you feel 2k above invoice isn't a good price then by all means try other dealerships. I'll caution you to stay away from Perillo in Chicago tho. I heard they're crooks!

Thanks; I would have had a discussion if they came back w $2k. but, they were proposing $6k over invoice (MSRP). I'll call Ann Arbor today, and see what they say. Thanks for your input.

Good luck with BMW Ann Arbor. I sent you a private message about that.
