Is this new info (re: Assist and adding a phone)

I happened across the following info and thought it interesting for those with Assist.
I think I saw mention of this somewhere around here, but I couldn't find it, so I figured it'd be worthwhile posting this.

Now, IIRC, any Motorola v60 works in place of the CPT9000, so this could be even more useful. And from what I can gather, Assist and the pjone aren't going to share anything radio-wise, so you shouldn't be stuck with Verizon, either.

Good information for those of us that are stuck with Assist. Is it really true that any v60 phone will work, not just v60i? BTW what do you mean about being stuck with Verizon?

I think it has been officially announced in the past that any v60 will work on the E65s. And someone here last week said they did it on a E60. As for the carrier part, I think people have discovered that Assist itself runs on Verizon. The phone part seems to work independently from Assist, so you wouldn't have to get a Verizon phone (not that they sell a regular v60 anymore anyhow)
