Warning Label

There was some talk about this on a different forum, but I thought you new F10 owners would get a kick. Did you happen to read the fine print from the sticker on your windshield in the upper left corner? I've attached it to this post, if you'd like to see it.

Note that using a non-approved cell phone may invalidate your warranty and cause extensive damage to your vehicle! Same is true for using non-BMW approved radios, tires, wheels, etc. Has anyone obtained a list of approved cell phones from BMW in order to check the devices your passengers are carrying?

Heh. I did not read this fine print.

I'm imagining telling my passengers, "The captain has turned on the 'no electric devices' sign. Please power off all your unapproved portable cellular devices..."

The key phrase is "may cause".... as in driving your car could lead to an accident and "may cause" you to die.

Same way "smoking may cause lung cancer"

This is in the CYA category, like the labels on furniture and pillows telling you that you'll go to jail if you remove the label.

Those labels all specifically exclude the consumer who purchases the item.
